speck of dust | Meghan Bianco Lockwood

some human fiber
vibrates higher
me, i only burn.
two silver dollar eyes
confine a mind to yawn or yearn
when pretty pain bemuses
brain and tooth both crystallized
upon deliberation
wayward pharisee relies.
for now i’m left with nothing
but the song and sky i love
at last the earth perfects
that speck of dust we each become
