Nothing Should Last Forever | Emma Cholip

If my elation comes from phases and cycles
then let that indecisiveness be the death of me.
Let those who can’t understand stay perplexed;
I never wanted to live and die as the same soul
I only ever wanted to transcend
the monotony of it all.

To be finite is to be alive.
