Forever is a Squeaky Hinge / Dan A. Cordoza

Art: “Synth Space” by David Weinholtz

Even the door of eternity
needs oiling now & again.

A colossal steamer
sails a cargo of doors
from harbor to Milky Way.

Missing you.

Dan A. Cordoza has a Master’s of Science degree in counseling. He is the author of two chapbooks: Nature’s Front Door & Expectation of Stars. Partial poetry & fiction publications include Amethyst, Ardent, Better Than Starbucks, California Quarterly, Chaleur, Cur-lew, UK., Enclave, Entropy, Esthetic Apostle, Poetry Northwest, The Quail Bell, Typishly, and Vita Brevis

David Weinholtz simply must create. Whether it be creation via drawing or painting, it is in his marrow, and has been ever since he was a child. Truthfully, he has no clue why or where the impulse began, but he has fol-lowed it and tried his best to stay true to it through-out his life. Each drawing and painting he creates does have a personal story, and if asked he’s sure he could unfurl a flowery digression on the psychology of each piece, but underneath it all, it is very simple: a pure unquenchable desire to create.
